The extraordinary city of Cusco is located in the Valley of the Huatanay River in the Andes to the south east of Peru. It is located at about 3400 m.a.s.l. It was the administrative, religious and military center in the Inca times. In this tour we cannot miss the Sacred Valley located at 32 km from Cusco. It was founded in the period of Francisco Toledo viceroy. In the market of Pisaq town all kinds of handicrafts are offered, here we can find handicrafts such as textiles, ceremonial pottery like the Q’ero, glasses, plates, ashtrays, necklaces and copies of Pre-Hispanic pottery. On Sundays they celebrate the traditional church service in Quechua with the participation of the Varayocs (City’s Mayors) which are the leaders of the community. At the top of the mountain we can find the archaeological complex of Pisaq compound of neighborhoods, squares and the Intiwatana which is admired because of the impressive way how it was made. Then we have Ollantaytambo which is an archaeological complex compound of agricultural, military and administrative centers.

Day 1: Lima / Cusco � City Tour (SIC)

In the morning arrival and transfer to the hotel, then free time to let your body acclimatize to the altitude.
In the afternoon visit the Main Square, Cathedral, Korikancha palace and the nearby archaeological complexes such as Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay, and Sacsayhuaman Fortress: Hotel.

Day 02: Cusco - Sacred Valley of the Incas / Aguas Calientes(SIC)

08:00 am early start today, including the usual breakfast, after which we will head off to the wonderful market of Pisaq and in the afternoon will be spent viewing amazing architectural wonder of the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo. As you travel in these areas you will experience stunning views of the country side. PM. transfer to the train station of Cusco to take the train to Machupicchu. One of the highlights of your trip happens today as we will head off to Machu Picchu, during 1h, 30 minutes until the arrival to Aguas Calientes. Hotel. (Lunch)

Day 03: Machu Picchu /Cusco (SIC)

After breackfast, we will take the bus to the incredible world-wide wonder "The Sanctuary of Machupicchu", well-known as "the lost city of the Incas". We will begin our guided excursion visiting the main seat, the circular tower, the Sacred Solar clock, the real quarters, the temple of the three windows and the cemeteries. If you listen to the winds, you may be able to hear the mysteries of the Incas. Time to explore Machupicchu by your own. In the afternoon we will take the EXPEDITION train back to Cusco from Aguas Calientes. Hotel.

Day 04: Cusco / Lima

Am. Breackfast then Transfer to the airport for the fly to back home.
